Belfast Mela, launched in 2007 by the pioneering ArtsEkta ethnic arts organisation, will bring a wonderful world of entertainment to the Belfast Botanic Gardens over August Bank Holiday weekend, as it celebrates ten fabulous years with the addition of an extra night of music, dance and theatre in a special festival ‘Big Top’ on the evening of Saturday 27th August.
BRINGING THE WORLD TO BELFAST
During the August bank holiday weekend over 30,000 visitors will be treated to the sights, sounds and smells of the world as the Mela takes place at Belfast’s beautiful Botanic Gardens. This year’s event is jam packed with a show stopping line up featuring music, dance, food, fashion,street theatre, circus and carnival from across the globe, all presented in a high energy, vivid and vibrant day out for all the family.
The Belfast Mela returns for its 10th year with a special opening night on the 27th August 2016 (6pm-9pm) followed by the main Mela celebration on the 28th August 2016 (12noon – 6pm).
